What was once the home of a canning plant for P W Albury & Sons on Fifth Terrace now has a breath of fresh air and now serves as both the storage facility and administration headquarters for Bahamas Medical and Surgical Supplies Ltd. The Client was insistent in keeping its carbon footprint as minute as possible by renovating the existing warehouse along with reusing most of the foundation of the canning plant building for the administrative offices. The utilization of advanced building materials allows the administrative building to operate more passively, putting less overhead strain on the company in this tropical climate. Its overall layout ensures both flow and functionality while keeping its design aligned with TDG’s quest for contemporizing the built environment.
